BMW F30 Electrical Equipment. Exterior lighting.

The exterior lighting of the F30 is mainly based on the latest BMW models.

F30 is equipped with halogen headlights as standard.

Equipment can be ordered bi-xenon headlights (SA 522).

With bi-xenon headlights, constant dipped and parking lights are carried out on

LEDs.

If halogen headlights are installed, the headlight range is manually adjusted.

The cornering light is available for the F30 as

optional equipment (SA 524), which can only be installed in conjunction with

bi-xenon headlights (SA 522).

The FEM module, as the master, is responsible for the operation of the external lighting.

what lighting functions need to be activated or deactivated, and reports this information

REM module via K-CAN 2. The REM module, in turn, informs the FEM module of the status

activated function.

As already familiar from F20, LED indicators are installed in the exterior mirrors

On the F30, adaptive cornering light (SA 524) is only available when installing all

the following additional equipment:

• Fog lights (SA 520)

• Rain Intensity Sensor (SA 521)

• Xenon light (SA 522)

• Main beam control system (SA 5AC).

Control

Adaptive cornering light is active in the “A” switch position with the light on

ignition.

The cornering light automatically switches on depending on the angle of rotation

steering wheels or turning on the direction indicator.

Cornering lights

The cornering function is included in SA “Adaptive cornering”.
